Agents of the State Attorney General's Office of Mexico detained Cheyla Ruth 'N' alias 'The Queen of the South' and Jesús Armando 'N' alias 'The Bald One', identified as generators of violence in Tlalnepantla and Atizapán. Both are being investigated for their probable participation in the homicide of a man.
In an operational action in neighborhoods of the municipality of Tlalnepantla, the investigation agents located Cheyla Ruth 'N' and Jesús Armando 'N', who according to the investigations were the leaders of an independent criminal cell in the area. During the mobilization, Cheyla Ruth was captured while traveling on a scooter accompanied by another person, with the collaboration of the local Public Safety Directorate.
The detainees are being investigated for a homicide that occurred on July 13 in a tire repair shop in the El Potrero neighborhood. It is suspected that Cheyla Ruth led the criminal cell dedicated to high-impact crimes such as homicide and possibly drug trafficking, which made her a priority target for the Institution.
After noticing the police presence, Cheyla Ruth attempted to flee by jumping from the vehicle, resulting in an injury to her left leg and being subsequently taken to a hospital for medical attention. In another operation in Tlalnepantla, Jesús Armando 'N' was detained, allegedly linked to the commission of homicides within the criminal group.
The State Attorney General's Office of Mexico reported that, according to the law, the detainees must be considered innocent until there is a conviction against them. Alias 'The Bald One' was identified as a suspected murderer within the criminal organization.
