The recognized Mexican singer 'Paquita la del Barrio' passed away at the age of 77 in her home in Veracruz. Despite facing various health issues that made it difficult for her to walk, the artist continued to perform on stage, even in a wheelchair.
Francisco Torres, the representative of Francisca Viveros Barradas, revealed that the news of her death was unexpected, as days before they were planning a concert at the Auditorio Nacional. In an interview, Torres shared: 'We spoke, they were already coming to Mexico, she was ready.'
In a conversation, 'Paquito' mentioned that the singer usually avoided talking about death. Despite her health problems, she had recently been accompanied by her sister Viola Viveros. However, on February 17, it was reported that the artist was found without vital signs at her home.
According to what 'Paquito' commented on a morning program, the cause of her death was a fatal heart attack while she was sleeping. A private funeral is planned, her remains will be cremated, and her ashes will be taken to Casa Paquita, an important place for the deceased artist.
The manager of 'Paquita la del Barrio' had previously mentioned that her difficulties in walking affected her emotional health. The artist was undergoing treatment for various health issues that plagued her, such as sciatica. Despite these conditions, 'Paquito' recalled a recent conversation in which the singer expressed her frustration at not being able to walk properly.
