Dante Delgado, national leader of Movimiento Ciudadano, announced that he is fighting against stomach cancer. At 73 years old, he revealed the news to his family and confirmed that he will spend some time in Veracruz for his treatment.
The revelation came during an event in Veracruz on August 21. Delgado shared that he recently underwent a successful operation, though he did not provide details about the procedure. The politician has been proactive about his health, undergoing preventive medical check-ups due to family history of cancer-related diseases.
In his statements, Delgado expressed his gratitude to the medical team led by Carlos Chan Núñez and Alejandro Alfaro, as well as to the Médica Sur Hospital and all the medical and nursing staff who have attended to him. He highlighted the professional and human care he has received during his treatment.
"I am sincerely grateful to all of them," Delgado said when talking about his recovery.
