The Corregidora municipal government will allocate 110 million pesos for public works in 2026, after the state government provided an additional 50 million pesos. This was announced by Mayor Josué Guerrero Trápala. After a meeting with Governor Mauricio Kuri on March 15, the mayor indicated that he requested extraordinary resources, mainly for the rehabilitation of roads and maintenance of parks in localities. He pointed out that once the projects are approved by the state government, they will begin to be executed. Guerrero Trápala highlighted that these works will be added to the 17 contemplated in the Annual Work Plan (POA) for this year, for which 60 million pesos were allocated. "What I can advance is that it is again about road issues that require special attention, it is about parks and it is about sections where we have to intervene to carry out maintenance," he said. Guerrero Trápala recognized that one of the main challenges to address in Corregidora is the infrastructure in various communities, such as road paving, the installation of public services in irregular settlements, and the placement of recreational spaces. However, he highlighted that last year 16 urban and infrastructure works were carried out, so he maintained that in 2026 more progress will be made in attending to communities with some type of lag. "I am a believer that there must be adequate spaces for families to have recreation, on that we will continue in this dynamic, also attacking very specific points," he stated. It should be mentioned that, according to the POA in 2025, the municipality of Corregidora concluded with 72 works carried out and an investment of 380 million pesos between the municipal and state governments.
